| Hi,
Can anybody tell me if we want to send a message from one mobile
to another mobile then what functional test cases should we follow.
Thanks in advance,

well, if you've given a PenTesting project, then you're gonna verify
many things in the process.
A general process from sending a Text Message to delivering it is just
like below:
1. The message is sent to the SC or Service Centre (you may consider
it as a placeholder for all messages, plust moving the messages back
and forth). the service centre will communicate with PLMN or PSTN
through a MSC (gateway or internetwork by GRPS).
2. And the moment you're message has three possible path to go:
a. Simply being delivered to the recipient's mobile and uhm, finish ;)
b. Subscribers on a Fixed Network (generally on Communication Centers
in a city or among towns), then to the recipient's mobile
c. A VA-SP or Value-Add Service-Providers or an Application Terminated
centre, then to the recipient's mobile.
You would check all the stuff here. But let me guess! you just wanna
test the sending and delivering steps on the ends! yep?
If so, you may use a PDA, they've generally wireless
telecommunications feature enabled, and you may use 'em to send
messages to another one or just a simulated box or a real mobile phone
(this way you would play a lot with SMS-PP protocol), and check out
the bits in the MAP scheme implemented in MT and SMSC and a lot more
tricks.
btw, that was a general question, and you got a general answer.
more on details? come on...
