Web Functional Testing With Evalid
|
|
|
| Hi,
I am looking for a functional testing tool to test a web application.
I am interested with the 'evalid' solution, but not totally convinced.
Does somebody use it ?
What is your point of vue on this tool ?
Thanks.

| Hi,
I use it for some time already, it's my favorite tool for testing web apps.
As it has been developped on IE, it can really manage all the components
that are seen/processed by IE.
Thus it is not an emulation of the GUI, but the real thing.
This allows you to process ActiveX, Flash, and other components that can not
be easily processed by other tools.
The cost is much cheaper than other tools, and it is possible to download a
trial/eval version
It also allows you to do performance tests with scripts that were captured
(and updated), and the replay can ensure that the response time is computed
up to the display of the last info on the screen (instead of just counting
the time by the transaction).
Overall a very good tool in my opinion.
