Feasibility study - ver/val activity?
|
|
|
| Hello All,
Can feasibility study of the project be considered as a Verification
and Validation activity?
Thanks & Regards,

I would say neither.
To steal some CMMi terminology.
- Verification is checking whether the product is built right or not.
The purpose of verification is to ensure the product meets its
requirements.
- Validation is whether the right product has been built or not.
Validation ensures that the product fullfills its "intended" use in
its "intended" environment
Deciding whether a project is feasible is something that (I'm
thinking) should be done before the first line of code is written.

| Venkatesh, Adam is right. I am curious to know where did you come
across this question/ Was it an interview question?
