| I do not have a break down per tool for you, but the costs is highly
dependent on the amount of users that you want to simulate.
Also you have to realize that the the cost of the tool is only a part
of the costs (albeit a significant one).
Other costs that you will have to incur are:
* Training (tool)
* Training (methodology)
* Ongoing maintenance (new versions, patches, house keeping etc. We
spend about 10 hours a month on that)
* Develop/maintain a methodology (integrate Perf.Testing with existing
Softeware Dev. methodology)
* Develop training materials for team members and other project
members
* Set up a repository to keep the results
* Perf.Test Hardware: Workstations, servers to drive traffic
* LAB: A copy of your production systems (ideally)
* Support costs: Lan Admin, network specialists, DBAs, Technical
application specialists etc.
As you can see the cost picture involves significantly more than just
the tool.
