Author Question in Test Director / Test Set execution

Hi,

In Quality Center, in Test Lab, i have question,?

1. Test Plan contains 4 steps, in that 3 steps are marked as 'Passed'
and 1 step is marked as 'NotCompleted', at the end the status is
displaying as 'Not Completed' instead of 'Passed' as in Test director
8.0.

Do i need to manually move it to 'Passed' or any configuration is
required?

Please let me know?

Where to configure this one?

Thanks
Shobha

This is the desired result, and it is implemented that way since
TestDirector 6, at least.

Whatever made you think that TD8 handled this different is obviously
your own misunderstanding. I used and administered TD8 since it was
available, and it always set 'Passed' for a Test only when *all* steps
were 'Passed'.

If you like to have the Test Lab display an incorrect result ('Passed'
while not all steps are 'Passed'), you can set this status by hand. Be
prepared to find an additional 'Fast Run' displayed in the runs list
after your action.

Hi,
The Test can be considered as pass only if all the steps are passed.
U said the last step u kept as Not Completed
That means your Execution is not completed ......then how cum you want
the test case to be passed.
You can manually move it to passed.
