Validation through QTP

Hi,

I would like to validate some application through Data Driven or Parameterized approach through QTP. For example consider that i want to validate the User ID and Password for any application. I would supply these values (i.e User ID and Password ) through the Exel sheet in QTP and in turn it enters the value to my main application under test. I want QTP to validate these two inputs and show appropiate message ( i.e if the inputs are valid then it will generate Passed result otherwise QTP will generate Failed result).

How can i do this in QTP? Please help.
