What is the difference between Inspection and Audit

| Hi All
Recently I attended a interview n interviewer asked me,What is the
difference between Inspection and Audit I replied him but he 
me.
So, Answer Should be with example . it should not be bookish .

Take a look at IEEE Std. 1028 for descriptions of these and
walkthroughs, management reviews and technical reviews.

this is Sreedhar,the difference between audit and inspection is:
Audit:It is observe how the testing is done.
Inspection:It is a small met that is conduted by the test lead to check
about how the testing is going on.

If you don't know, don't post.
An audit is checking to see if you are following a process
An inspection is a peer review of a document, code, etc.

An auditt is a two seater sports car made by the Volkswagen-Audi Group.
