Author Beamer class: only show 'active' subsession titles

'Hello' to everyone,

I try to get more space for my presentation content and also have to
reach the maximum number of slides - I'm still above - in my actual
presentation( therefore I use the Copenhagen theme).

So it hat come to my mind not to use 'regular' \frametitles but
\subsections for the frametitles. Now I have the problem, that all
\subsections are listed; plain for the frames according to the
actual/'active' subsection, and transparent for the 'inactive'
subsections.

I just want to see the active subsection (as if one section just had
one subsection). Is there a way for it? There are really too much
slides to list their title one below the others.

Regards
Median

Among other things, Median saw fit to write:

You could use \documentclass[compress]{beamer} to show sections and
subsections horizontally. It works with some themes at least.
