hello,
I was wondering how to arrange various figures next to each other
without erasing something from the neighbouring figure through unwanted
overlap. I am not sure whether my figures are transparent, however, I
have applied ps2epsi so the bounding box should be alright....
nevertheless if they are put close to each other, a white margin
overlaps some parts of the image beside....

\begin{figure}[tb]
\centering
\frame{\begin{pspicture}(0.45\textwidth,3cm)
\rput(1.1,1.1){\includegraphics[width=1cm]{aaa}
\rput(2.5,1.1){\includegraphics[width=1cm]{bbb}
\rput(4.1,1.1){\includegraphics[width=1cm]{ccc}
\rput(1.1,1.1){{\small 0.1}}
\psgrid[griddots=5,subgriddiv=1]
\end{pspicture}}
\end{figure}
