I guess there are two sides to this coin. On the one hand, using spaces
to mean multiplication is great for writing algebraic expressions, but
it can be irritating when programming because missing out a semicolon
generates something unwanted rather than a syntax error.

It is difficult to invent an ideal solution however, because many
programs contain expressions embedded inside them! Maybe it would be
nice if you could click something and see all the implicit
multiplications at a glance.
