Author Plot FFT of complex pairs

I am trying to plot an FFT of a "packet" that is a row
vector containing 1024 complex pairs. I tried to use
Simulink and use Signal from Workspace but receive the
following warning:

Warning: The model 'packetspectrum' does not have
continuous states, hence using the
solver 'VariableStepDiscrete' instead of solver 'ode45'.
You can disable this diagnostic by explicitly specifying a
discrete solver in the solver tab of the Configuration
Parameters dialog, or setting 'Automatic solver parameter
selection' diagnostic to 'none' in the Diagnostics tab of
the Configuration Parameters dialog.
Warning: Computing the FFT of a scalar input.
