Hi,

I just started using Femlab 3.0 and have a simple question. I am trying to model lumped mass models using the inplane Euler beam mode. I would like to apply a force at a point, with the force being a function of the velocity of the same point and another
point.

I can make the force a function of the velocity of the same point by using 'u' or 'v' in the expression for the load, but how can I make the force a function of the velocity of another point?
I have been trying to use indices but it doesn't works yet.

Thanks a lot for any suggestion!

You need to make the velocity of the other point available in the
point where you are evaluating the force. Use extrusion coupling
variables from the options menu in the GUI. In a script you can
use the field elcplextr. See the command reference for details on
systax.
