Author Mouse & Joystick Input problem in Real-Time

When I'm trying to acquire data from mouse input or joystick input
block in real-time windows target, I've got zero values. If I move
mouse or joystick nothing changes. Does anybody knows how to solve
this problem?
P.S. PC is running under WinXP SP2
