Error when trying to run Analyze and Repair
|
|
|
| I get an error message: data\status.dat is already open
Cannot rebuild the database while Visual SourceSafe is being run. Make sure
all users have exited SourceSafe and try again.
When trying to run an Analyze and Repair, uers are not logged in when trying
to run the Repair, e repair does ot run, is there anyway of closing this
file?

| Sometimes a file gets left open when a client terminates abnormally.
Run the Computer Management tool by right clicking on My Computer and
picking Manage or by picking Computer Management from Administrative
Tools on the Start menu. Expand System Tools | Shared Folders and
select Open Files. This shows a list of files opened by remote users.
Find out who has status.dat open and make sure they don't have an
active client. If there are no active clients, then forcibly close
status.dat by right clicking and picking Close Open File.
