i read on www.w3schools.com that you could use your own oc as a web server.
i wish to do that so that i don't have to pay someone for the service. can
someone help me with this. i have Windows XP pro/mce 2005.

Steve,
You can definitely set up your own web server.
For that you would need a dedicated machine with server OS and
connected directly to a high speed Internet. Then you need to configure your
web server for default directory or folder, whether to allow visitors to see
the contents of a directory or folder, where to store the log file, etc.
