Subreport -> all in one report?

Hi,
I've got a report based on a main report and 3 subreports, but now I'm
trying to do it all in one report to speed things up.

With subreports it looks like this:
A main report grouped on a field, then a details section for each
subreport.
Group header
Details A
Details B
Details C
Group header
Details A
Details B
Details C
etc...

My problem is how to format it correctly in one report. The best I've
managed so far is:
Group header
Details A1 (first row of section)
Details B1
Details A2 (second row of section)
Details B2

when I'd like it to be:
Group header
Details A1
Details A2
Details B1
Details B2

Any ideas on how to accomplish this would be very welcome :)
