I have a server running crystal 8.5SP3 and when the output is converted
to PDF the barcodes will not show up. They show up something like
"*5823____232." I have installed the Abri Barcode 39 fonts. Can anyone
offer a suggestion why the barcodes will not show up in PDF. They show
up just find when printing to a normal printer.

Hi,

If you are interesting in a commercial package to take CR output and convert
to PDF with bar-codes, add formatting, e-mail, and report bursting (any
number of levels), you may want to consider OctoTools (www.octotools.com)
software. I have many CR clients who add OctoTools to generate their
production output. OctoTools is designed for automatic operation with
medium to high volume throughput and is server based. If interested, give

One of the problems might be that Crystal Reports is not embedding the font
in the PDF when it writes the output. If the font is not embedded in the PDF
and you attempt to print the PDF on a device that does not have that
particular font installed, then the output will be garbled.

In CR10 I can't see where you have any options about how the PDF is created,
so it is hard to tell if this is the case.
