Animated icons on Home screen

| Is it possible to have animated icons on the home screen for a Windows
smartphone? I hear that Windows Mobile does not support it. Is this true? If
so, is there a way to implement it ourselves?

it's not supported, so you need to create animated icons yourself, and
your own homescreen plugin (there is an example in the SDK called
helloplug).
