has anyone been able to use File->Configure->Share Folder with the WM5
Smartphone emulator, to create a virtual Storage Card ?

i've been able to use this feature on the Smartphone 2003 SE emulator, but
it does not seem to work on my WM5 Smartphone emulator.

is that a known issue?

Yes, Shared Folders work on WM5 Smartphone. I just tried, and see "Storage
Card" listed in the filesystem. The Media Player has an "Open File" option
that lets you browse the filesystem - go to "Library", click "Menu" then
choose '6' - "Open File".

hmmmm interesting.

i use the small library called tGetFile (equivalent of the getOpenFileName
API), and until now it worked very well on all Windows Mobile platforms and
was always able to see all subfolder and Storage Cards under "\" .

so maybe that's a new and obscure bug in tGetFile that gets triggered only
on WM5 Smartphone?

we'll investigate.

the strange thing is that it works perfectly fine on WM5 Pocket PC....
