Accessing User Data Header on PPC 2003 using IMailRuleClient

I am using the IMailRuleClient to get notification of an incoming short
message. When processing the message, I need to access the user data
header (udh) for information such as the application port number etc.

I came across old threads related to the same problem, for example one
by Andrew Thornton dated Oct 2004 . In case anyone has figured out how
to access this header information, please respond.
