Hi All,
I´m developing for WM5, and I would like to know how to change and add icons
in the title bar. I need to show the status of my application using an icon
near the battery indicator. I read (in Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone Help)
tha it is possible but how ?

Thanks

All the titlebar positions for status icons are reserved for various system
states and therefore adding third-party icons is not supported. You could
consider creating a home screen plugin to show your status

I see that Remote Display for Windows CE places a little gizmo icon in the
title bar, but only when an application is active, not when the home screen
is showing. I notice as well, that on my Cingular SmartPhone, the title bar
icon which shows that caller picture ID is active also shows only when an
application is loaded, but not when the home screen is active.

Are there two different standards for title bar icons, depending on whether
an application is active, or the home screen is active?

Thanks,

Peter,

In the Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone Help I read in the section
"Windows Mobile Version 5.0 SDK > Welcome to Windows Mobile > Product
Reference Guide for Windows Mobile Version 5.0 > User Interface Product
Reference Guide" that is possible to change the icon of 3G connections. See
the item "Extensible title bar icons (PPC+SP)"

Could you help me with more information about how to do this ?

Thanks

Adriano
