Custom ring tone field in contacts

Hi

I'd like to query and modify the 'Custom ring tone' field for a contact from
within my application running on a SmartPhone2003 device.

The IContact interface doesn't seem to expose the 'Custom ring tone' field,
or am I missing something?

Or is the only option to muck directly with the database rather than going
through the POOM API?

The custom ring tone field isn't available through an API until Windows
Mobile 5.0.
