help, someone is messing with my formmail script

| I run Matt's FormMail for a feedback page on my site. For the last
couple of months I get one or two e-mails a day, always from a single
first name like "Bob" or "Mary" and with the form fields all filled
out with random typed nonsense words. The nonsense words are always
the same in every letter--the only thing that is different from letter
to letter is that every one comes from a different first name. It
seems like someone is using some automated script to screw with me,
but what's odd is that I only get one or two a day, not 100 or 1000.
Does anyone have any clue how this is being done, and what I can do to
stop it or at least identify the person?

Well there's part of your problem.

What do you mean "how this is being done"? You have a form online for
people to send you email, and someone's sending you email. What
exactly are you expecting to happen?
Sounds like the only real problem here is that your spam filters
suck.
However, you should get rid of Matt's Form Mail in favor of one that's
actually decent, that people can't use to spam others instead of just
you.

Out of dumb curuiousity, if you're using Matt's scripts, why aren't
you asking Matt for help with them? Like, if it keeps a log file of
any kind?
Regardless, why not just check your server logs to see what IP address
has been accessing that script at the aproximate time you're receiving
an email?
None of this, by the way, has anything to do with Perl.
