open source voting - spam attack.

| There is currently an attack on sci.crypt - lots of automatically
generated spurious posts.
Because the open source voting threads have been crossposted there
they are getting some collateral damage. Many threads on sci.crypt
are being attacked.
I suggest reposting but without including sci.crypt in the
crossposting list. That should avoid the bulk of the problem. Once
the attack has died down sci.crypt can be included again.

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hipcrime_(Usenet)
sci.crypt has been attacked before. Cryptography seems to attrack a
higher than average proportion of net kooks.

Don't worry. It's just David Blaine and one of his damned annoying
newsgroup illusions.
