Does anyone know of any organization that is dedicated to consolidating and
developing open source software applications integrated across the entire
spectrum of medical treatment from initial patient contact at a practice to
extensive hospitalization including full diagnostic testing?

I don't know of any group with that focus, but a search at sourceforge.net
would probably be a good place to start.
