daemon tools seems not open source, am i wrong?

Correct, it is NOT open source. Many will, no doubt, argue but here is something

Daemon tools is wonderful, essential freeware, available from
http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/download.php and my children use it when they
use MS Windows, so that they won't destroy any more of the many games CD-ROMs we
*own*. But we use Linux heavily, now.
