Please learn to quote properly.

The sentences "I'm floored. The hubris just keeps flowing, doesn't
it?" were written by Brian Raiter; the "[probably]" was your
response. That form of quoting makes the discussion *very* difficult
to follow. To someone who doesn't know the quoting convention you've
invented, it looks like the text starting with "I'm floored" is yours.

Normally, quoted text has a "> " prefix on each line, quoted quoted
text is prefixed with "> > ", and so forth. Attribution lines, such
as the line
"jacko" <jackokring@gmail.com> writes:
above, make it possible to see who said what.

You're using the groups.google.com interface to Usenet, which is badly
broken and makes proper followups gratuitously difficult.
Fortunately, there's a workaround (though it's not very obvious).

And please complain to Google about this.
