Hurray for self-quoting. Yes, that isn't reversible. Or rather, it
isn't reversible without taking up more space than the original file
did, while compression is intended to make a file smaller. As for my
"I don't see why that wouldn't work", I can only blame that on my
typing while reading. I guess I sort of expected that to be a
once-only algorithm, and then I thought back to what we've been talking
about all along. I've got more things I WANT to say...but I don't
believe they'd satisfy any of you, either. In any way, shape, or form.
