CRC error if compressing 200MB+, detected only by unzip/unrar

| Using WinRAR 3.51 or Winzip 10 produces CRC errors when trying to
decompress the files. This also happens without compression, i.e. store
100%. It never happens with files of less than 200MB within a zip/rar.
I have not noticed anything wrong with my PC, also tried reboot. Using
XP SP2 AMDXP 256MB RAM.
I tested this as I have several zip files where a few files within the
zip archive has CRC errors, usually big files, but some are just 50MB.
Have not been able to reproduce errors on smaller files, but I have
consistent problems above 200MB.
Strange, any ideas to get rid of this? Using another computer with 1GB
RAM has no such problem.

| Tried BurnInTest v4 Std Eval. After 8 minutes, it had detected errors
verifying data in RAM 14 times before I stopped it. It seems to be in
test steps of 259+30MB repeating or later 271+18M. Log read 4, expected
0, and read 251, expected 255. This is repeated. I guess I need new
RAM, haven't noticed other PC problems.
