I think he's just proud of his programming ability and
thinks - probably correctly - that 'C' variants are the
most useful and generally powerful tools for making PCs
do what you want them to do. As for MICROSOFT 'C' ...
MS tends to do things half-assed, just well enough to
make a buck. McSoftware. I've always thought the
Inprise/Borland environment was better, others favor
Codewarrior, but few I've encountered *prefer* MS ...
they're usually just STUCK using it.
And ANYTHING you write for the XP environment, well, it's
just a crapshoot whether it's gonna do what you expect it
to do ... what a mess ! Frankly 'Vista' should have been
a version of unix or linux with the MS name stamped on the
cover - and prefereably customized by an outside software
house.
Just my opinion, of course ...
