Author disabling design view when clicking on .cs file

Hi

I get the error that the class that can be designed is not the first
one in the file. However, I want this .cs file to be treated as source
only. It shouldn't try and go into design mode.

Can anyone help me with this please? Is there a setting? With what
criteria does the IDE decide whether or not a class is designable (so I
can try and trick it)?

Thanks for any help
