Page directives suddenly not recognized

I recently re-installed my system, and now all my ASP.NET web project pages
that use the Page ValidateRequest directive no longer function. The error
generated says that the Page directive does not support the ValidateRequest
option.

Well, it DID on all the apps I've written so far. So what gives? I don't
remembers setting any configurations for this. Is there one hidden
somewhere?

Using VS 2002 Academic. C#
