| I'm running Visual Studio .NET 2003 under Win2K. When I try to look
at the .NET reference pages, I get the following dialog box:
Internet Explorer Script Error
! An error has occurred in the script on this page.
Line: 270
Char: 4
Error: Object doesn't support this property or method
Code: 0
URL: ms-help://MS.VSCC.2003/MS.MSDNQTR.2003FEB.1033/cpref/
html/frlrfSystemDrawingBitmapClassTopic.htm
Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?
[Yes/No]
There is no line 270 in the page in question, so the error is probably
referring to an included script. The includes are ms-help:// URLs,
which appear to come from compiled help files, so digging through
those hasn't been much use.
The script that has broken is the one that strips away the prototypes
and code samples for languages you're not interested in. This means
that it pops up for nearly every page in the reference section.
Once upon a time, it didn't behave this way, but various other bits
and pieces of the system have been reshuffled. I'm guessing something
tweaked Internet Explorer. I've tried fiddling with some of the IE
options, but to no avail. I also tried installing the .NET documentation
update from the Microsoft web site, but that didn't change things.
Can anyone tell me why vs.net is acting this way, and what to do about it?
I can live with it, but it's annoying. I've searched the web and MSDN
for suggestions, but most pages are for web script developers.
