Author Script in VS2005

Does anyone know if script composition/debugging capabilities will be
expanded in VS.NET 2005? I'd head that script debugging is avail in '03 but
although I can get syntax highlighting, I can't get it to run. I'm not
really that keen on using wscript.exe //x or whatever to break into-- it's
not really a full-fledged solution.

I have the VB Express '05 beta and I got nuthin'. Maybe in the full version
they'll include more script features?

I don't understand the question Every version of Visual Studio has had
debugging capabilities for many years.

Oh, sorry, you said "script debugging, " didn't you? Can you be more
specific? What kind of script do you want to debug?

Well, specifically I'm talking about VBScript. There really is no good
development environment for scripting with the Windows Script Host. Whenever
people talk about this they get told to use MSE.EXE that comes with office,
but that was really meant for scripting with IE, and it's no fun (no
contextual help for WSH). Or the MS Script Debugger, which is a joke from
1993.

Then I read about script-debugging being available in VS.NET '03 if you
break into the debugger from the script. This requires running the script
using wscript.exe and a command-switch, AND having a command in the script
to initiate the break.

I was just hoping that MS might eventually embrace script development by
including some capabilities in VS.NET 05. Like, syntax highlighting,
contextual help, and--of course--support for running and debugging in the
IDE. So many people aren't leveraging the power of scripting (VBScript,
JScript) for administrative tasks with WSH because now it's actually easier
to write VB code and VBScript (because of intellisense, syntax highlighting,
etc.)

Err, I mean "easier to write VB code THAN VBScript," not "and"
