Help! My application is too large to download

Hi
I have developed a standalone application using VBA and Access for
distribution, but to my surprise the Microsoft Distributable files are
60Mb when compressed, (whereas my application is only 1Mb), which
makes my application too big to distribute via download from my
website.

From discussions with people there is nothing I can do about the two
distributable files if I want a robust install, so it looks as though
I will have to redevelop my application. My questions are:

1. If I want to stay with Microsoft what are my technology options?
2. If I redevelop the application in say VB.NET, how do avoid using
the MS Jet database and the distributables? Bearing in mind I am
trying to get a single installer file of no more than 10Mb
3. Any other ideas?
