Author Error in MSDN search "Visual Studio Common IDE Package failed to load"

Hi guys, I installed last version of Visual Studio Professional 2005
complete of MSDN Library.
Before I had installed a VS 2005 RC version and it worked well.
Now I open MSDN program but when I try to use Search functionalities
clicking on toolbar search button I receive the message:
Package "Visual Studio Common IDE Package failed to load."
I removed and re-installed all visual studio components but the message
continue to appear.

Anybody can tell me what happening on my installation and how I can resolve
it...

Thank you for any suggestion
Erik

If you had a beta version of VS2005 installed previously, run this tool to cleanup any remnants of it Beta Cleanup Tool .

If that does not help, removing HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MS
DN\8.0\Packages\{6E87CFAD-6C05-4adf-9CD7-3B7943875B7C}\CodeBase registry value and SatelliteDll subkey fixed the same issue for me.

Hope that helps...

Removing registry value and reinstalling MSDN appear that search
functionality work now!

I had the same problem.
Uninstalled everything, that smelled like "2005": Devstudio,
Dotnet-Framework, SQL-Server, Document explorer, MSDN. Then I manually
deleted registry entries named visualstudio 8.0, sql-server, msdn 8.0.
Deleted also files in "Program files" for those products. Draped
everything with reboots.
It was a stupit job, but finaly it worked. Don't ask why.
