I'm running VC++ version 6 service pack 5. During normal
program editing I'm constantly waiting. I've tracked
the waiting to a flurry of network traffic. An SMB
message is being sent over and over requesting that the
file CRT.NCB(path name included) be open, if found. This
file exists based on the path name on my C drive. I don't
know why it's searching the network. I've looked at
directory settings, path, include, and lib setting used
by VC, but there are no network drives specified. I've
found very little information about this file. I've
searched the knowledge base and found nothing. Anyone
have any ideas? Thanks
