Author Unable to install Web Part Library on Whidbey machine

I'm playing with the VS .NET 2005 beta (Whidbey) and I want to install the
Web Part Library template so I can see how well it plays with SharePoint
2003. Alas, the MSI installer balks, saying I don't have VS .NET installed.
I ped with Orca and the MSI is looking for VS 7, which I'd rather not
install on the box, just for the sake of a single template. Short of
finding some MSI hacker to extract the files manually, is there anyway to
get the template package to install? Can I tweak the MSI table with Orca to
fool the installer?

Thanks,

Matt Clark
