Hi,

I am a long time VS developer, currently using 7.1 (as well as 7.0 on older projects.)

All of a sudden, my property window is always blank. This renders many operations impossible.

I have searched the newsgroups, and found a couple of other people with this problem, but I'm not aware of any clean solution.

I have tried repairing my installation, without success.

I've tried resetting "things" in the options, without success.

My last attempt was to remove the key in the registry for 7.1 VisualStudio, then uninstall VisualStudio 7.1, then install it.

I get the Properties Window in 7.0 fine, but it's always blank in 7.1.

Would really appreciate some help, since I'm essentially dead in the water at the moment.

Just in case someone else sees this post, I thought I would make a followup post.

For almost a month, I was unable to see anything in my property window. It was totally blank. I would have to ask a friend to edit .rc stuff for me using his computer.

Then, out of the blue, my system started working normally. I did nothing, changed nothing - at least that I remember. All of a sudden, I decided to see if the window worked, and was floored to discover it worked normally.

So, if this happens to you, I have no idea what caused it, or what would fix it - except time. I pray to God that mine keeps working.

My system has the same problem! Hope that someone could give a solution...
