Author SOLUTION to Visual Studio 6 SP6 / SQL Server 2000 BUG
SOLUTION

I read through some more posts and saw that Rob Janssen had a very nice solution to this bug in the post named "VB6 SP6 problem with SQL 2000 Enterprise Manager". It turns out that the only file you need is the MDT2DF.DLL from SP5. Just download SP5 and o
pen it in WinZip and then open VS6sp53.cab in WinZip. Extract the file MDT2DF.DLL to replace the SP6 version located at "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\MSDesigners98" (or whatever, depends on you OS version).
This solves the problem with SQL Server 2000. Thanks alot Rob!

I had this bug as well.
It's just great how Microsoft encourages developers to
install new un-tested Service Packs!

Johan, thanks so much!
Just be careful, guys.
mdt2df.dll is not in vs6sp53.exe
it's in vs6sp54.exe.
