Author "Link Repair" feature

I have a complex site and would really like to get the "link repair" feature working, that is, hyperlinks from one page to another are automatically adjusted if the target page is renamed or moved to a different folder. Frontpage has this, and it works g
reat for ASP and HTM pages, but appears to be disabled for ASPX pages. The Visual Studio project properties dialog box has a link repair feature for web projects accessed with frontpage extensions, but I have tried numerous test cases and can't seem to g
et it working. Does anyone know how to get this feature working, what its limitations are, or other best practices for maintaining correct hyperlinks in a big site as pages are moved or renamed? Thanks
