VS.NET 2005 <beta or rtm> handle .NET v1.0 or v1.1 projects?

Does/will VS.NET 2005 handle pre v2.0 projects as well as the new 2.0 projects?

If it's anything like its predecessors, No.

So far, each version of 'Studio .Net has been "hard-wired" to a given
Framework version and has forcibly "upgraded" older projects to suit
themselves.
