OK, I am a student and I am not out to be cheecky nor am I asking for
someone to give me their subscription like some which is not only daylight
robbery but against the license agreement. All that I ask is for some
sensible advise or steps to take. I am interested in developing and wanted
to know if MSDN or technet is going to be of an advantage at this stage? Not
only that, is there any subscriptions for students which is a much more
basic and condensed package unlike what most of you pro's subscribe to?

Its a matter of obtaining tools, servers and application software isn't it?
The MSDN subscriptions provide those as downloads to subscribers. You can
only get Visual Studio 2005 through MSDN subscriptions so you'll have to
settle for Visual Web Developer Express and the SQL Server Express 2005 for
now which isn't too shabby actually. As for operating systems and the like
you should look into Microsoft's "Action Pack."

I have searched MS and found the following:
http://www.microsoft.com/uk/partner...x?page=contents

Is that the correct Action Pack because there was two or three?
Also, would that effect my current status with betas or does it have no
effect?

Visual Studio 2005 is available through many retailers. It is NOT only
available through MSDN Subscriptions.

I was aware of the fact that Visual Studio can be purchased through
retailers however was curious if MSDN or a similar router would be suitable
or even available to me at this point in time.
What is the link i posted the correct one for action pack? I am a little
about that as it is part of the Microsoft Partner scheme??

Visual Studio is not distributed with the Action Pack.
It seems if you read what Microsoft has to say they clearly explain anybody
that has registered with the Microsoft Partner program is eligible to
purchase the Action Pack. There is some cross-over between products
available to those with an MSDN Subscription and acquiring an Action Pack.
Basically the MSDN Subscription also contains development tools and SDKs
noting they can still usually be downloaded from the web anyway.
