I had the same error.

The solution was easy:

I erased the VISTA partition and the problem went away :-)

Were you able to get *all* keys? Even the last ones listed on the key
webpage?

These went ok now:

Longhorn Server IA64 Beta 2

Windows Vista Business Beta 2

These are still failing:

Windows Vista Ultimate Beta 2

Windows Vista Home Basic Beta 2

I guess things need some time to get 100% ready.

No, those never worked. I phoned the MSDN support, and they gave me
another key, that allowed me to install VISTA.

After installing however, I wanted to register my version by Microsoft,
as the software asked me to do. To no avail. I always got the same
answer, as you got: "wrong key". With the new MSDN key and with the old
keys, they never worked.

I got fed up with those bugs, and erase it. I will install it when it
comes out of beta.

What worked for me: Don't attempt to request more than 2 at once. I checked
2 boxes, then kept clicking the Request Keys button until they worked, then
I checked the next 2 and clicked several more times before getting those.

Sure, it's a little annoying that it doesn't work 100% smoothly and
perfectly on the first try, but overall it took less time than getting thru
on the toll-free number to vote for American Idol.

It looks like for some reason there is a problem with how the product keys
are configured in our system. Yesterday it was happening for Premium and
Ultimate - checking this morning I see that Premium is now working. I've
escalated this as a high-priority issue, I'm hoping for a fix soon. In the
meantime, we changed how the "get product keys" button works on the download
details page so that it will assign Vista keys, and if you select the Vista
keys individually (or at least all except for Ultimate) on the Product Keys
page it will work.

Sorry for the inconvenience,

I checked all the open checkboxes at once and
had no problem getting them (and any others),
yesterday (times shown are PDT)

Vista Home Premium Beta 2" Key="#####-#####-#####-#####-#####" Key_Type="Retai
Date_Key_Claimed="2006-05-23 18:39:49.260" />
Vista Business Beta 2" Key="#####-#####-#####-#####-#####" Key_Type="Retail"
Date_Key_Claimed="2006-05-23 18:39:49.150" />
Vista Home Basic Beta 2" Key="#####-#####-#####-#####-#####" Key_Type="Retail"
Date_Key_Claimed="2006-05-23 18:38:55.540" />
Vista Ultimate Beta 2" Key="#####-#####-#####-#####-#####" Key_Type="Retail"
Date_Key_Claimed="2006-05-23 18:39:49.323" />
</Your_Product_Keys>

I haven't installed. Hopefully the key is a
working one, and works for the x64 version.

(The Home Basic version had no checkbox and
the key for it was already present when I
opened the "Get keys" panel.)

It's still not working for me - just Ultimate, all the others are generated
(but unsure as to whether they are valid or not). :(
