January 2006 MSDN Library - Search Problem

| Is the search functionality of the January 2006 release of the MSDN Library
broken?
I just installed it and find that the more terms I add to my search, the
more results I get. For example, with "sql server 2005" "reporting service"
in the 'Look for:' window, I get 210 topics found but when I have "sql
server 2005" "reporting service" "data extension" in the in the 'Look for:'
window, I get 279 topics found.
I am accustomed to seeing the search results narrow as more search strings
are added.
What is wrong?
Thanks,
Tom

| Chuck,
Thanks for the link to the explanation.
To me 'Probabilistic' searching makes no sense when searching documentation
for specific information.
Is there any other information like how to maintain the 'good' search
algorithm and still load the VS 2005 documentation?

Broken input methods and parsers are nothing to do with "Probabilistic"
searching; they're simply broken...(and out of date). It doesn't matter
whether you're searching for multiple-inheritance or a cheap holiday,
it's still useless.
How on earth they could release it like that I've no idea.
