We have a VMware ESX server used by a team of techniciansand are looking at
how best to provision new machines. Could I get an official MS response to
this?

Can an activated syspreped image of an OS be used to create new machines by
users that hold a different MSDN subscription or by users that hold no MSDN
subscription?

Thanks

Microsoft does not provide "official" licensing answers via ANY public
newsgroup. Even if a Microsoft employee responds here, it is merely an
answer provided in good faith. That's why you see "confers no rights" in the
sigs of most MS postings.

In the U.S., call (800) 426-9400 for "official" licensing answers regarding
any Microsoft product whatsoever. In Canada, call (877) 568-2495. Elsewhere,
contact your Microsoft regional office.
