| Hi,
I'm currently on MSDN and thought it was a "superset" of TechNet. In
other words it's supposed to have all of technet plus the developer
stuff, but a friend who is on technet has received a CTP Vista build on
DVD and I don't appear to have received this.

| Gerry;
I think the DVDs are coming.
In the meantime the CTP Build 5270 is available through MSDN downloads for
Operating Systems and above.

| No, MSDN subscriptions are not (and have never been) a "superset" of TechNet
subscriptions, but there is certainly overlap between technet Plus and MSDN
when it comes to Beta and CTP software.
In the case of Vista CTP, MSDN subscribers (above the Library level) should
receive all the builds that technet subscribers do, but the timing of media
delivery may vary. If you're in a rush or want to stay as current as
possible, you should download from the Subscribers Download site instead of
waiting for media.

OK thanks, but is it not the case we are paying more for MSDN pro and
premium than they pay for TechNet? If so why are we last in the queue? I
have no interest in downloading 3Gb when I pay to have media shipped out.

| Gerry;
It is not a matter of first or last.
Tech Net and MSDN are independent and follow their own schedules.
Also neither is a superset of the other.
They each have something the other does not, but there is some duplication..

| Hi,
Well it's now a month later and still no sign of the Vista DVD. I don't
see it matters that technet and MSDN are separate products; the bottom
line is that technet are getting superior service on the items that
overlap the two products.
Even if we have to accept MSDN will not get improved service we should
at least have a note on the subscription page to make it clear we won't
get these DVDs.
