Word 2003 Redaction add in

I have installed the Redaction add in on all machines in my office from a
Windows 2003 server location. I elected to have the add in available to all
users of the machine. I have noticed that since the installation, Word saves
to Normal each time it is closed. I have gotten many complaints that Word is
now slow to open and close network documents. Why does Word need to save to
Normal and can I stop it from happening?
