| Andy indicated, in a few of the earlier posts, that he would get it up as
soon as they got their "back-end issues" figured out.
Keep your eye's peeled, Andy will announce it when it is up.

At this stage, couldn't they just link us to a goddamn torrent?
I just don't understand how something so simple as subscriber downloads
can be so hard to get working. It's a list of files to download with
access arbitrated by your subscription type. It should not be
difficult to get working.

| Torrents have their own problems:

| The problem, actually, isn't with the bits it's with the keys. Post-Beta1
builds take a different key than I have on Subscriber Downloads, and adding
a key for public production to Microsoft's product key system takes a little
time. I'm working on this now, though, and am trying to get the update
build published as soon as I can.

How hard can writing a keygen be?
The pirates do it all the time.
If it takes this long to add new keys is it not indicative of a problem
with the system?

| Generating a few hundred thousand valid MSDN 10-activation keys is
unfortunately a bit more involved than that. However, it looks like we'll
publish the 5219 build soon (it's replicating now, should be ready in about
12 hours) with it's own key on the Product Keys page. I'd say check back
Tuesday night (Pacific Time) to see if it's there. Note: This is an
estimate, the Vista images are pretty big and they take some time to fully
replicate before they can be published. So, if they're not on MSDN
Subscriber Downloads tonight please be patient - they'll be published just
as soon as I can get them ready.

| The key is now listed but no download yet.

....which, once again, is indicative of how product keys are only a hindrance
to us legitimate, paying users. Microsoft still doesn't get that. Saying
"it takes time to have new keys posted" is missing the point entirely.

| actually it looks like the keys are posted, just not the build.

The bane of all forms of "copy protection"

| Why would we need a key for 5219?
http://blogs.msdn.com/tims/archive/.../21/472506.aspx
5219 seems to only need an official public key. So for the time being life
could have been *much* easier ;-)
