Marketing is faster than the rest of the company.

I am being told that many people are getting a passport sign in error when
trying to access the MSDN download, but let me assure you it is there, I have
already dl @ 500 mb of the 2478.3 mb download - I am sure the servers are
just overloading from all of us that have been waiting.

If you are seeing a Passport sign-in error, can I ask that you use the
Contact Us form so that our server support teams are aware of this? Our
download performance is not showing as constrained, and I'd like them to be
able to get information from customers on this error to see if we can
identify any bottleneck in the system.

Thanks,

Is the download performance from the European server showing as
constrained? Download speeds from 213.199.133.39 simply SUCK (speed always
drops and gets maybe 1Mbps average speed at best on my 2Mbps service, with
two concurrent downloads).

Switching to the USA servers improved the speeds dramatically (to the full
2Mbps of my service, sustained, with two concurrent downloads), so it's
definitely those European MSDN subscriber download servers which cannot
deliver a decent throughput. What's wrong with them...?

European slowness confirmed.
On my 550 KB connection I get between 30KB to 110KB (more 30 than 110 btw)
